In a Dec. 25 Movies, Ellin Stein mischaracterized a few subtle aspects of the film Marty Supreme, suggesting that Marty’s rival’s racket has no foam covering, that Marty is coerced into joining the Harlem Globetrotters by Milton Rockwell, and that Milton knows about Marty’s tryst with his wife. Endo does use a foam racket, Marty is invited to tour with the Globetrotters by his friend, and it’s not clear whether Milton ever discovers Marty’s affair with his wife.
